Post residency program

In what ways do we take what we learned from the recent past and use it to our advantage as we continue to move forward? I often wonder what the future of art education could look like for our art program?

The Sheboygan North High Artist-in-Residency Program has been an integral part of our arts programming since the fall of Past artists have collaborated with staff and students through various ways by integrating their art and creative process into various content areas, expanding the student experience in the field of the arts, fostering creativity, and presenting to staff new ideas and art-driven strategies.

All of which have been in-person until now. What did we learn? In what ways did we adapt? You will be working as a physician within your specialty caring, serving and teaching in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As with all types of medical missions, flexibility will be essential as you can be sure you will be challenged. The Post-Residency Program staff will work with you and your family from the time your application is approved through your two years of service.

We will assist you with all ministry-related travel and country-specific field requirements. Prior to serving, you will be brought to the Samaritan's Purse international headquarters in Boone, North Carolina, for orientation.

What about my school loans? Post-Resident physicians are not eligible for the Project MedSend grant. However, we are prepared to assist you as you raise support to cover your basic student loan. Samaritan's Purse will pay a modest stipend and provide airfare, insurance, immunizations and ministry-related travel expenses to the physician. We will also provide housing and a food allowance for you and your family. The support you will need to raise will be to cover your family's airfare, benefits and ministry-related expenses.

The ministry will not take any administrative fees from the funds you raise. By starting at the beginning, we can help you seamlessly transition to the long-term sending agency and minimize your time spent at home raising support and completing the necessary sending organization requirements between assignments. Please include complete contact information as well as your expected residency or fellowship completion date. No, thanks. Give Now.

Skills Intensive: Recognizing that skill competency is a significant barrier to progression and a primary concern for new graduate nurses, a self and faculty evaluation of skills will be completed upon entering the residency program.

With faculty input, each resident will create a personalized plan to address skill gaps with facility subject-matter experts. The first two to four weeks of the residency will focus on skills improvement to increase competence, confidence, and safety. Clinical Activities: After skills intensive, residents will be assigned a dedicated preceptor on a medsurg unit for approximately three months.

Alternative sites may be considered based on experience, preference, and career goals. At approximately four months, the Program Director and resident will create a preliminary career plan. These may include the step-down unit, critical care areas, psychiatric specialties, and clinic locations. At approximately eight months, the career plan will be re-evaluated and the resident may select an area of interest for potential employment.

Didactic Activities: Didactic activities will connect clinical scholarship with bedside practice and Veteran-centered care. Activity examples include case studies, presentations by subject-matter experts and leadership, article reviews, journaling, clinical reflections, and interprofessional education.
