For some reason, it may sort the first time starting with "Z" instead of "A", so if the results are ordered that way, just Right-click View again, and go down and repeat the Arrange by Name. It should re-do the right way! This sorts all of the programs at once, not just by-column. In reply to deleted message. Thanks Rob. I tried your suggestion, but the Customize tab doesn't have the options as you've indicated.
Not sure if it's a matter of XP versions, but I didn't think so. Customize does give some options for checking boxes under "Advanced", but nothing related to sorting.
