The statement for the alternative hypothesis was chosen because it corresponds to the WEF's proposals on this subject. In the Student's Distribution Table, with 8 degrees of freedom, a level of significance of 0. The lack of correspondence, led to inquire about the type of base information used to evaluate each pillar of the GCI, and clarify its level of causal relationship.

The results showed that the calification of Dominican Republic improve, with respect to each pillar of the GCI, if indicators based only on numerical data are used, while if the information comes from responses to surveys, the results deteriorate. This haeppen also when another type of indicators are used for comparison. This situation, aroused the interest to confirm if the process to raise the information for the — GCI to qualify the performance, affects the results of the evaluation, to find out that, the ways to obtain the data were analyzed cheking each indicators to confirm if the information comes from surveyes or from numerical data metered by tangible elements.

The results as is show in the following matrix. The Spearman's Range Correlation Coefficient determined the direction and intensity of the relationship, since it is the most recommended to analyze this type of interaction between variables.

The result was 0. In this sense, it was established as null hypothesis H0 : There is no positive linear relationship between the percentage of information from responses to surveys to qualify GCI indicators and the place occupied by the country when compared with the other countries in the selected sample. While as an alternative hypothesis was considered H1 : There is a positive linear relationship between the percentage of information from survey responses to score GCI indicators and the place occupied by the country when compared with the others of the selected sample.

As the decision rule states, when the calculated value is greater than or equal to the one in the table, the null hypothesis is rejected and as the value in the table is 0. The results show that for the Dominican Republic, there is a scarce relationship between the GCI with the EG, also there is a high negative impact of answers to surveys to qualify the country in the GCI, because the perceptual aspects incidence.

The greater the participation of responses to surveys in the evaluation, the lower place the Dominican Republic obtained in the indicator, which was validated with the Spearman Correlation Coefficient.

As a way to facilitate the understanding of the phenomenon studied, a change model was conceived that highlights elements to be considered for the implementation of strategic actions that allow the country to improve its rating in the GCI ranking. It is also important to extend the study to other regions of the world to confirm if the phenomenon occurred with the Dominican Republic, as the results of Nicaragua indicate, the country in the sample with the third place in growth during the years analyzed, but with the last place in competitiveness in the same period of time.

If the case of Dominican Republic and Nicargua is repeated in other regions of the world, the WEF will be compelled to take measures with respect to the information structure based on survey responses, with which each pillar is worked.
