Pretty standard setup with office programme, Firefox, Thunderbird. SP1 has tried to install several times and always returns an error message that it is unable to complete, without telling me what the issue is!!! I have disabled security programmes and any other programme that starts automatically.

Been to the troubleshooting centre and tried to download the KB mb. After trying 4 times, the download stops at of mb. Won't even download using IE8. The version of Windows 7 is displayed next to System type. Some antivirus software might prevent SP1 from installing or slow down the installation. You can temporarily disable your antivirus software before the installation. Follow the instructions to install the update.

To use the tool later, select Save and download the installation files to your PC.

On the Installation complete screen, select Close. In the search box, enter troubleshooter and then select Troubleshooting from the list of results. Under System and Security , select Fix problems with Windows Update and then follow the instructions.
